  2010 Tirecraft Humanitarian Award

Lorne Koch from our Tirecraft Clinton and Exeter locations in Ontario, selflessly went above and beyond, in terms of helping to improve the lives of others. He has exemplified the qualities of compassion and humanitarianism through unusual understanding and empathy.


 

Lorne made it clear after receiving the award that he did not make it his mission to be recognized for his significant contributions in 2010 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (Ont) and to the Haitian community, in which we knew. We did however want to recognize Lorne for his honorable leadership in the industry.

History

The name Tirecraft originated in Vernon BC in 1968 where a store called Peters Tirecraft started in the Tire business. In 1990 the Tirecraft name was purchased by a group of stores called Town & Country Tire. They adopted the name and became Tirecraft Auto Center locations. Today there are over 140 strong independent Tirecraft tire dealers throughout Western Canada, Ontario and Atlantic Canada. These strong independent dealers truly embrace the Tirecraft mission.
