Winter Tire Policy

For many years winter tires were purchased in pairs and installed on the rear drive axle of your vehicle. However, the popularity of front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and four-wheel drive vehicles has displaced this practice.

The advancement in winter tire technology provides you with superior traction in both snow & ice conditions when compared to all-season tires. Their tread patterns and tread compounds are designed to perform specifically under winter conditions therefore the need for consistent traction on all 4 corners of today’s vehicles is critical to safe driving. They are a great investment in both safety and confidence.

Transport Canada and the Rubber Association of Canada recommend the installation of 4 winter tires. With your safety in mind our policy is exactly that;

Winter tires will only be sold and installed in sets of 4 at Tirecraft for all cars, mini-vans, light trucks & SUV’s featuring front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive capability.

We also recommend the installation of 4 winter tires on vehicles with rear wheel drive.

Our policy also applies to winter tire changeovers; only winter tires in sets of 4 will be installed.

These measures are in place in order to insure you the safest driving possible. After all, we take tires, and your safety, seriously.

Let our family get your family home.
